Seminar for yacht crew SCCM YACHTING LEVEL A1

Istion Yachting Academy was established after many years of experience in the yachting industry and sail instruction. It was created to fulfill both the recreational and the professional needs in this niche. The Academy is recognized by the Royal Yachting Association and affiliated to the American Sailing Association, providing internationally certifications.The last years Istion Yachting Academy is organizing special training seminars for yacht crew members covering a wide range of subjects. The first seminar for 2012, SCCM YACHTING LEVEL A1, is scheduled for the period April 2-6.

The seminar is designed for professionals who seek to enrich their knowledge and improve their skills and also for the newcomers who wish to start a career in the yachting industry.

 ISTION Yachting has launched for the first time the Catamarans Cup international regatta in Greece in October 2010. An international regatta which is a combination of a sailing race and a relaxing holiday week, in the Greek islands with many side events such as special welcome for the participants on every island of call, local events, prizing awards & ceremonies, cocktail parties, beach BB-Q, dinners and lots of fun.

The 3rd Catamarans Cup international regatta will take place 20 to 27th of October 2012. Crews and sailors from all over the world are welcome to participate, choosing one of our catamarans or open crews.
Individuals are also welcome to join one of our open crews aboard our cats, no matter their skills and experience.      
Starting from Athens, the regatta will visit the Greek islands following a relaxing and enjoyable route, having also time to explore places of interest.

 The 43rd boot welcomes 1,656 exhibitors from 62 countries to 17 exhibition halls on the Rhine, heralding the launch of the 2012 watersports season. Sailing and motor boats and yachts are presented by some 440 exhibitors.The palette of 1,700 boats and yachts reaches from canoes to luxury yachts. Completing the spectrum visitors will find the world_s most comprehensive range of surfing, diving and angling equipment, chartered cruises, holiday destinations for watersports enthusiasts as well as equipment and technical accessories. In Duesseldorf, every watersports aficionado will find just what he or she is looking for. In addition, 16 theme and experience worlds offer information, sports, entertainment and a chance to join in the fun for beginners and professionals alike.

The 365 Party, the annual event organized by ISTION Yachting took place on Friday 13th January 2012 at Kitchen Bar (Alimos Marina, Athens). The event is dedicated to company's collaborators and partners.

"Cousin" Jeanneau , a subsidiary of the Bénéteau group, but with its own personality, is also pursuing its faultless performance in the Sun Odyssey cruiser range, with the new 379, 439, 509 and 44DS. The latter represents the French know-how in sailing yachts built for living aboard, with a huge aft cabin. A consistent range of vessels benefiting from the immense experience of the shipyard, constantly renewed leaving the competition no chance!

As a French response to the Danish X-Yachts , who have a developed two distinct product lines for cruising and racing, Dufour has segmented its offer to correspond as closely as possible to all desires.

The Dehler shipyard, now a part of Hanse, is bringing a new Dehler 41. It will share the share the spotlight with the Salona 38S, a Slovenian interpretation of the modern cruiser-racer.

Among the specialized French shipyards, the northerner Wrighton is presenting his new Biloup 26, a beach able robust bilge keel that makes a good live-aboard. A delegation of Breton boats will be brought together under the banner of Brittany, omnipresent at Nautic 2011.

Lagoon, the leader, has continued developing its live-aboard range, focusing on the spaciousness and design of its houseboats, including the 400 which will be on show in Paris.

Istion Yachting has attended the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting 2011. It was the 50th addition of this spectacular yacht show. Istion's CEO, Ioannis Kourounis with Lambros Tsolakis (crewed charters department), Cpt Argyris Kaltsounis and Cpt Costas Chiotis have represented the company and had the pleasure to meet again with company's brokers and agents from all over the world. Interesting seminars and meetings took place during the meeting. Not to mention the spectacular yachts!
