Lately the idea of a charter yacht ownership became very popular as the investment gives the opportunity to become a yacht owner at low cost and at the same time to ensure a very special vacation program for a lifetime. Many companies offer different kinds of Yacht management programs.
Istion offers a very simple and flexible Yacht Management program.
Our company's business plan is based on the idea to cooperate only with people with whom we feel good. The level of the investments was always kept low, in order to keep the personal contact with our partners and clients, and on the other hand to ensure our high standards of the quality of our yachts and services.

Our Management program is Flexible and can be adapted to your personal needs. You will be part of Istion "Family". Your yacht will be located in the heart of the best sailing area of Europe: Greece! Based in one of our 3 secure and quite bases: in Athens, in Lefkas (Ionian islands) or in Kos (Dodecanese islands).

Yacht’s type & equipment
We propose a new model of sailing yacht or catamaran of the following shipyards:
Beneteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Hanse, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot & Nautitech. Having our comments you decide the yacht size the model and the equipment list according to Istion’s fleet standards.
Yacht’s price
“Ready to sail” price is set, including: equipment & extras as per detailed inventory list, delivery from shipyard to Greece, registration expenses (Vat not applied for charter yachts in Greece).
Delivery
Istion deals with the shipyard for the payments and the delivery of the yacht. March is the ideal time for a new yacht delivery.
Contracting Period
Contracting period is usually five and a half years.
Owner takes over
The owner pays his share which is 50% of the yacht’s value. Istion takes care of financing the balance (50% of the yacht’s value).
Istion takes over:
- The delivery of the yacht on time with extras and equipment agreed. Quality control of the yacht & sea trials
- Yacht’s registration
- Finance of the 50% of the yacht’s value
- Yacht promotion & chartering
- Yacht’s mooring, dry docking, insurance, appropriate winter maintenance and charters service.
- Repayment of the 50% of the value and bank’s interest
- All running expenses (marinas, insurance, services, maintenance, charters expenses, spare parts, charter taxes, clients service)
- To offer the yacht to the owner for own use 2 weeks every year during medium period, according to the booking plan.
- Transfer of full ownership of the yacht to the owner in the end of the contracting period, free of any debts
- Yacht’s delivery to the owner in perfect conditions.
Contracting period can be extended upon agreement.
