True Blue

True blue

True Blue is an open invitation to the yachting community to increase environmental protection awareness within the yachting industry and contribute in an educated manner to keeping the Mediterranean Sea crystal-clear and rich in biodiversity, and our source of livelihood prosperous and sustainable.

Salty Bag X Istion

Through SALTY BAG we donate decommissioned sails of our boats in order to upcycle them into cleverly-designed, stylish and practical sailing bags and accessories, thus giving a worn-out genoa or a ripped mainsail a new lease of life and value.

Cycle Cigaret X Istion

Istion is proud to be the 1st Greek yachting company that runs a very promising and effective cigarette waste recycling program since 2021 with CIGARET CYCLE.

Cigarette butts, containing plastic and toxic chemicals, are known to be one of the most prolific and dangerous litter items in the aquatic environment, especially since they have the nasty propensity to end up, via the digestive system of marine organisms and fishes, squarely in our own plates. Istion Yachting has initiated a long-term campaign combatting cigarette butt pollution and encouraging recycling the remaining residue, by moving towards certifying all of our facilities and yachts as #cigarettefree, and by installing new and robust receptacles on board our vessels as well as in all affiliated marinas and ports to encourage proper disposal and recycling of cigarette waste.

Artemis X Istion

We're thrilled to introduce an innovative initiative via ARTEMIS that merges the joy of sailing with a noble cause: the preservation of our pristine shores. All our yacht charters are equipped with the VOLUNTARY BEACH CLEANUP KIT, an eco-tube containing 3 garbage bags and 6 pairs of gloves. We encourage all our guests to become proactive guardians of our valuable coasts creating a vast network of volunteers across the Greek islands.

Here's how to make a difference while enjoying your trip:

1ST STEP

Spot a Bay in Need: Find a beach with visible garbage accumulation.

Suit Up: Protect yourself with gloves and sunscreen (not included). Wear sturdy shoes to avoid sharp objects. Avoid steep or unsafe areas.

Clean Up Time: Fill the garbage bags with trash, but be mindful - leave natural treasures where they belong.

Store it Safe: Once full, store the bags in a shaded area until you reach a designated disposal point.

2ND STEP

Before & After photos: Capture the beach's transformation with photos (pre- and post- cleanup)

Selfie with swag: Take a picture showing off your eco-warrior spirit with the filled bags.

3RD STEP

Scan the QR code on the tube: Visit Artemis website to upload your photos and information. Whether you choose to share a lot or little, your impact counts. For those who prefer anonymity, it's perfectly fine - share what you are comfortable with. If you don't have network access at the beach, no worries! upload whenever you can.

4TH STEP

Dispose Responsibly: Discard the full garbage bags in large bins typically found at marinas.
