The Cyclades Experience Starts Here, from Lavrion

The Cyclades are not just a destination.
They are a sailing rhythm shaped by wind, light, and open sea.

Starting from Lavrion, sailors gain direct access to one of the most iconic sailing regions in Greece, with fast connections from Athens and endless possibilities across the Aegean.

From the protected bays of Kea to the dramatic coastlines of Serifos and the elegant streets of Syros, every stop reveals a different side of the Cyclades. Short island distances, authentic sailing conditions, and flexible routing make this area ideal for both experienced sailors and relaxed summer cruising.

A Suggested 7-Day Cyclades Sailing Route

This classic Cyclades itinerary combines beautiful sailing passages, authentic island experiences, hidden anchorages, and iconic Aegean scenery.

Day 1 | Lavrion → Kea

Begin your journey with an easy sail to Kea. Anchor in Vourkari or Otzias and enjoy fresh seafood by the waterfront before visiting the ancient Lion of Kea, one of the island’s most famous hidden landmarks carved directly into the rock.

Day 2 | Kea → Kythnos

Sail towards Kythnos and discover the thermal springs of Loutra, known since antiquity for their naturally warm waters. Before sunset, anchor at Kolona, one of the most photographed double-sided beaches in the Cyclades.

Day 3 | Kythnos → Serifos

Arrive in Serifos and explore Livadi before heading up to Chora for sunset. Wander through the whitewashed alleys and discover the island’s authentic Cycladic atmosphere, especially during local summer panigiria with traditional music and dancing.

Day 4 | Serifos → Syros

A longer sailing day leads to Syros, the elegant capital of the Cyclades. Explore Ermoupoli’s neoclassical architecture, hidden stairways, and the famous Apollo Theater, often described as a miniature version of La Scala in Milan.

Day 5 | Syros → Kythnos

Enjoy scenic sailing back south with peaceful anchorages and swimming stops along the western coast of Kythnos. Hidden bays such as Apokrisi offer crystal-clear waters and complete privacy away from the busy summer routes.

Day 6 | Kythnos → Cape Sounion

Sail towards the Attica coastline and spend your final evening beneath the legendary Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, one of the most iconic sunset anchorages in Greece.

Day 7 | Sounion → Lavrion

Return to Lavrion marina for a smooth morning check-out and the perfect end to your Cyclades sailing loop.
